K-12 Education Account Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a K-12 Education Account Manager to expand our footprint within the education sector. In this role, you’ll focus on uncovering opportunities, building trusted relationships, and driving growth with K-12 schools, districts, and private educational institutions. Your work will directly support our mission of making communities safer through innovative communication, security, and technology solutions.
The ideal candidate will bring sales experience, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for improving school safety. Knowledge of school procurement processes, funding cycles, or public-sector sales is a strong plus.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers across school districts and private education institutions.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Drive lead generation and territory expansion activities targeting education customers.
  • Understand and navigate unique education procurement and funding processes, including grants and public funding cycles.
  • Promote the ERS Wireless portfolio of Motorola Solutions products and services (radio communications, video security, access control, weapons detection, and related solutions).
  • Deliver engaging proposals, presentations, and solution recommendations tailored to education customers.
  • Partner with Inside Sales Specialists and Sales Management to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in sales meetings, territory planning sessions, and ongoing professional development.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous sales or account management experience preferred. Background in K-12, government, or public-sector sales are highly valuable.
  • Skills:
    • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
    • Ability to create proposals and deliver compelling presentations.
    • Knowledge of public-sector procurement or willingness to learn.
    • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
